To Our Valued Mitsubishi Customer,

This is your guide to Mitsubishi Motors Service Plus Periodic Maintenance Schedule or PMS. It will indicate the type of service classification that will be done on your vehicle at certain kilometer readings. We have enumerated the type of work that will be done to your vehicle everytime you bring it for a periodic check up. It is highly recommended that you bring your vehicle regularly to our authorized servicing dealers for a periodic check up to ensure that the proper work required is done. Your vehicle warranty is 100,00 kms. or three (3) years whichever comes first for the Lancer, Galant, Pajero, Strada 4 x 4, Space Gear Gas and Diesel, L300 Exceed, Adventure. While warranty for the L300 Versa Van, L200 XT and GL (2003 model) is 50,000 kms. or two (2) years whichever comes first. To ensure that your vehicle stays within the warranty coverage, you shoul have your vehicle checked only at our authorized services centers. Complying with the regular periodic check up is more economical in the long run and prevents early breakdown, thereby extending the life of your vehicle. This is what we call Mitsubishi Service Plus.

Please be reminded that failure to avail of the specified periodic maintenance as performed by any Authorized Mitsubishi Service Center and non-usage of Mitsubishi Genuine Products could adversely affect the performance, safety and durability of your vehicle and may render void the warranty coverage.


1,000 KM CHECK UP

Operations after engine is warmed up

  1. Change engine oil and oil filter
  2. Check / adjust valve clearance (except for vehicles with auto-las adjusters)
  3. Check / adjust basic ignition timing (petrol powered vehicles)
  4. Check / adjust basic idling speed and CO concentration (petrol powered vehicles)
  5. Check crankcase ventilation hoses (petrol powered vehicles)
  6. Check cooling system for leaks
  7. Check fuel system clamp for looseness and damages


Operations inside the engine compartment

  1. Check V-belts for cracks, fraying wear and adjust tension
  2. Check condition of distributor contact point
  3. Check condition of distributor spark advancer
  4. Check condition of distributor cap, rotor and condenser
  5. Check ignition cables for damages
  6. Check vacuum pump oil hoses for damages (diesel powered vehicles)
  7. Check condition and clean spark plugs (petrol powered vehicles)
  8. Check / clean air cleaner element for clogging and damages
  9. Check fluid level in automatic transmission (including transfer)
  10. Check engine coolant condition and level
  11. Check brake / clutch fluid and power steering fluid level and condition
  12. Check / adjust brake pedal and clutch pedal for free play
  13. Check / top up battery electrolyte level and terminals for loose connections / corrosion; check battery clamp


Operations under the vehicle

  1. Check suspension system for looseness and damages
  2. Check suspension arm ball joints for play and dust covers for damages
  3. Check drive shaft boots for damages
  4. Check steering linkage for damages and loose connections (including seals and boots)
  5. Check gear oil level in manual transmission (including transfer case)
  6. Check gear oil level in front and rear axles
  7. Check exhaust pipe connection / installation for gas leakages or damages
  8. Tighten underchassis bolts / nuts
  9. Check / adjust parking brake stroke and play


Operations outside the vehicle

  1. Check brake hoses and pipes for leakages
  2. Check fuel hoses and pipes for leakages
  3. Check tire wear, tread depth, inflation pressure, center cap and tire valve cap
  4. Check windshield wiper nozzle and wiper blade


Electrical Operations

  1. Check condition and function of all exterior lamps
  2. Check condition and function of all interior lamps
  3. Check instrument panel lamp
  4. Check all instrument panel meters and gauges
  5. Check funtion of all power windows, power mirrors and power door locks
  6. Check front / rear wipers in all ranges
  7. Check warning buzzer
  8. Check power antenna
  9. Check horn

LIGHT CHECK UP

  3. Lubricate suspension arm, steering linkage and propeller shaft with grease fitting
  4. Check drive shaft boots for damages
  5. Check steering linkage for damages and loose connections (including seals and boots)
  6. Check gear oil level in manual transmission (including transfer case)
  7. Check gear oil level in front and rear axles
  8. Check exhaust pipe connection / installation for gas leakages or damages
  9. Tighten underchassis bolts / nuts
  10. Check / adjust parking brake stroke and play


Operations outside the vehicle

  1. Rotate tires
  2. Check brake hoses and pipes for leakages
  3. Check / clean brake pads, shoe linings, discs for wear, brake and drums for wear
  4. Check fuel hoses and pipes for leakages
  5. Check tire wear, tread depth, inflation pressure, center cap and tire valve cap
  6. Check windshield wiper nozzle and wiper blade


Electrical Operations

  1. Check condition and function of all exterior lamps
  2. Check condition and function of all interior lamps
  3. Check instrument panel lamp
  4. Check all instrument panel meters and gauges
  5. Check funtion of all power windows, power mirrors and power door locks
  6. Check front / rear wipers in all ranges
  7. Check warning buzzer
  8. Check power antenna
  9. Check horn


APPLICABLE ONLY EVERY 30,000 KMS

  1. Change gear oil in manual transmission (including transfer case)
  2. Change gear oil in front and rear axles
  3. Repack wheel bearings (check condition and recommend replacement if necessary)

HEAVY CHECK UP

Operations after engine is warmed up

  1. Change engine oil and oil filter
  2. Check / adjust valve clearance (except for vehicles with auto-lash adjusters)
  3. Check / adjust basic ignition timing (petrol powered vehicles)
  4. Check / adjust basic ignition timing (diesel powered vehicles)
  5. Check / adjust basic idling speed and CO concentration (petrol powered vehicles)
  6. Check choke mechanism and linkage
  7. Check crankcase ventilation hoses (petrol powered vehicles)
  8. Check gas recirculating system (petrol powered vehicles)
  9. Check body condition for damages (underbody coating and body paint for corrosion damages)
  10. Check cooling system for leaks
  11. Check fuel system clamp for looseness and damages


Operations inside the engine compartment

  1. Check V-belts for cracks, fraying wear and adjust tension
  2. Check condition of distributor contact points
  3. Check condition of distributor spark advancer
  4. Replace contact point and condenser
  5. Check ignition cables for damages
  6. Check vacuum pump oil hoses for damages (diesel powered vehicles)
  7. Check intake air and turbocharger oil hoses for damage (vehicles with turbo charger)
  8. Check operation of crankcase emission control system (petrol powered vehicles)
  9. Replace spark plugs (petrol powered vehicles)
  10. Inspect condition of fuel injectors
  11. Check radiator hoses for damages and proper connection
  12. Check / clean condition of throttle body
  13. Replace air cleaner element
  14. Check fluid level in automatic transmission (including transfer)
  15. Replace fuel filter
  16. Check engine coolant condition and level
  17. Check brake / clutch fluid and power steering fluid level and condition
  18. Check / adjust brake pedal and clutch pedal for free play
  19. Check / top up battery electrolyte level and terminals for loose connections / corrosion; check battery clamp


Operations under the vehicle

  1. Check suspension sytem for looseness and damages

  2. Change automatic transmission fluid (including transfer) and replace automatic transmission internal/external filter
  3. Change brake / clutch fluid and power steering fluid


RECOMMENDED BETWEEN 60,000 KMS and 80,000 KMS

  1. Replace engine timing belt (except vehicles with timing chain)


RECOMMENDED EVERY 20,000 KMS

  1. Clean fuel injectors (petrol powered engines)
